December 02, 2011
Yesterday, The Energy Cooperative lost two of its family members, Mr. George “Charlie” Manning, who was hired in 1953 as an Accountant and eventually made General Manager and President before his retirement in 2001 and Mr. Robert Baldwin, Accountant from 1981 to 1991 of Licking Rural Electrification, Inc. d/b/a The Energy Cooperative.
The Board of Directors stated, “We are deeply saddened by both Mr. Manning's and Mr. Baldwin's passing. Both men’s leadership, passion and countless hours of community involvement were a source that enriched and improved the people that worked with them, the cooperative and the lives of our member-owners.”
“The areas we serve are immeasurably better because of Charlie and Bob. Our hearts go out to their families in this time of sorrow.” said Dave Potter.
Anyone who knew them knew their greatest love was for their wives, Polly and Sandy, and their families. Our hearts go out to them and to all who were touched by knowing them. They will be missed.
